Why would I want to do that?
Not only does rollerblading improve your health, but it can also bring a lot of joy.
How many rollerblading lessons are needed?
This is probably the most popular question. It's almost impossible to answer it without meeting it in person. But I'll give it a try. First of all, it depends on what you want to achieve and what you already know.
Most students come to me to learn how to confidently stand and brake as it's sometimes unsafe to skate without this. If you know how to 1st foot then you are very likely to be a confident skater and will be able to brake in 2-3 different ways in your first lesson. If not, you will need 2-3 sessions, sometimes more. It's important to understand that you need to know how to brake regardless of the circumstances: speed, surface and feeling. I'll try to give you that confidence. But don't forget, success depends on your diligence, so I highly recommend 'homework' - repeating everything learned in class on your own. You could say that learning to skate is a paired sport. The instructor has to be able to show and explain, and the student has to be able to understand and repeat.
Want to lose weight?
Put on your rollers!
There are many ways to lose weight, I've chosen a nice one for myself. Not that I've ever been very fat, but I love to eat, including sweets (Praga cake from Palych, mmmmm…). And, as it happens, my diet is the complete opposite of proper, a very light breakfast, a medium lunch and a heavy dinner, that's not counting 2-3 "afternoon snacks". As a result, I've gained over 5 kilos in a fairly passive winter. But as spring arrives, I easily shed those pounds without bothering myself at all. Just rollerblading! It doesn't matter how, the main thing is to be in motion.
However, it is important to understand that you have to do a lot of skating. Weather permitting, I get as much as 7 days a week, 2-6 hours a week. Of course, not everyone is such a "fan", but you can use rollerskating as an additional activity. By the way, the rule that works for me is that while I'm skating (it could be another sport), I don't feel like eating, which also contributes to weight loss. I don't feel like eating to put it mildly, sometimes after 8 hours of skating in a row without eating, but with water, I'd go home on rollers in town and I'd get dizzy. This was the signal, I would turn down to the nearest shop and buy any bun, such a refill was enough to get me home.
Not convinced by my words?
What do I need to learn?
Learning to skate is impossible without roller skates. If you do not have them, I will help you choose and buy rollerskates. I also recommend not to neglect a complete set of protection, helmet optional.
